More than 105,000 Australians are homeless

27% of those homeless are children

Almost 20,000 are Queenslanders

More than 24,000 Australians are homeless because of domestic and family violence

2.35 million Australians (one in eight) have experienced homelessness at some point

1.4 million (one in 12) have slept rough

Most Australians are just two paydays away from being homeless

Shocking statistics, right? That’s why co-founder and owner of esg电竞比分详情, Nick Hill, is joining Vinnies Queensland CEO Sleepout team, to gain a better understanding of homelessness and raise money to tackle this devastating worldwide issue.

Nick has pledged to spend the wintery night of June 21st sleeping out at Brisbane’s Powerhouse, alongside more than 300 Queensland business, community and government leaders, with the aim of raising $1.4 million to help fight homelessness in Queensland. These essential funds will go towards assisting the charity Vinnies in their continual support to end homelessness by providing housing solutions for people in need.

Last year, 1,400 leaders participated in the CEO Sleepout and raised more than $5.1 million nationally, $1.01 million of which was fundraised in Queensland, and assisted 306,831 people effected by homelessness.

Support Nick and make a real difference, donate now!

You can help Nick reach his personal goal of raising a whopping $10k for the charity through his quest to battle a night sleeping on cardboard in the thick of winter – yikes!

Every dollar raised supports Vinnies services and will make a real difference to those who have no place to call home.

Here’s what YOUR donation could do:

  • $25 = provides a care pack
  • $50 = warm blanket + a meal
  • $100 = keeping a family’s power on during winter
  • $300 = life skills training for a struggling parent
  • $500 = assist a homeless person into a Vinnies homeless accommodation service
  • $1,000 = saving a family from eviction.

DONATE TO NICK

Vinnies also provides advocacy support, budgeting, living skills programs, emergency relief, transitional housing and access to programs that help homeless people rebuild their lives. For more information, visit www.ceosleepout.org.au .
